How does viggle know

Until now the networks only had the Neilsen ratings to try to help determine which shows were popular and which were flops. It is now over 25, With this whole Perk acquisition, they devalued your remaining points by a factor of 8. So, what you used to need 1,, for you now need 8,, Someone sxrewed the pooch in this conversion, and now a large volume of users will be lost as a result and rightfully so!

Viggle allows customers to purchase movies with the Viggle points but not during holidays. They removed option to force the customers to use currency to purchase movies directly from MGO. This very disappointing!

This app is totally not worth it. There are no products or gift cards to get for your points. Just downloads for music and tv shows an ebooks. Here is my Viggle experience:. When challenged, they were unable to present to me which term of the user agreement I had violated.

I guess I was too good at earning points. I have since realized the app is a total waste of time. I did the math and realized when they used to have prizes, I was earning about 20 cents an hour of my time based on prize values—and that was usually maximizing bonus shows, quizzes, and music daily. Anyway, I vowed to them to continue telling and spreading my experience until this company is buried, and I got silence from their customer service.

I was an early user of Viggle and loved it. I recommended it to everyone. Now there is no reason. It has been 2 years since I have redeemed any points. I still log in to look for any rewards because I have a lot of points banked. You can use your points to enter sweepstakes sometimes. The digital music, movies, and TVshows are even more useless as I have subscription services. Kathy you must work for viggle to be lieing so much everything you say you have gotten you could not have earned enough points even watching the 12 hour limit every day for a year.

I have been using it for 2 years also and it is another program commiting fraud! I have never gotten anything but annoying emails from viggle saying how great it was? I have almost 2 million points but now you can only get crappy movies tv shows or music I should have had 4 I pads but 3 times they raised the points needed for it and the 4 time they just did away with anything worth a crap. If you have an iPhone, iPad, later edition iPod touch, or any of the similar Android devices, you can download the app, which is free.

Once you've downloaded the app, you will be lead through a registration process right on your phone where you provide basic information and an email address. Use your Viggle App to earn points while watching TV or listening to music. You can "check in" to any show that is on currently or any show you've recorded up to 5 days after its original air date.

Simply hit the "Earn Points" button from the home screen, turn up the volume on your TV, and allow Viggle to recognize the show. If you are listening to music, whether on the radio, a device, or on the TV for example, while watching Glee Viggle should recognize the song. Note: you can only get points for song check-ins one time, ever, so checking in to the same song more than once will not earn you any points. If you simple wish to be a casual Viggler, I have picked up some tricks and tips to getting as many points as possible in the shortest amount of time.

I'll go ahead and share what I've learned. Though the gift card section most often looks like this, check back between 6 and midnight EST where gift cards are released one at a time in limited quantities. It cost 9, points. I redeemed the points immediately and a gift card code was sent to my email, where I was able to register it at Starbucks. Now, gift cards are no longer in constant stock.

Instead, they are released in limited numbers during the primetime window. In the last several months, Viggle has released between 2 and 3 gift cards a night, between the hours of 7pm and 10pm. But you must see them and snag them quickly because most gift cards are out of stock within 5 minutes. Additionally, it seems that Viggle is forever raising the "price" on gift cards.

Because of this, I spend my points as soon as I have enough to cash out. I try to keep my point total as low as possible, maximizing the idea that today is possibly the cheapest these gift cards will ever be again. However, because of the difficulty of snagging gift cards regularly, my account often goes as high as 45K points. Is it possible to cheat at Viggle? To be honest, I'm not even sure what that would mean. It's a free app that pays you for watching TV.

If you are succeeding with Viggle, you are cheating life. That said, if you are interested in more information, help, tips, and online discussion about Viggle, I found this group on Slickdeals to be really awesome. This is an online community of Vigglers who have broken down all the brass tacks of this often frustrating app. They are all about helping each other max out points, and they clearly have fun doing it.

If you are thinking about getting serious with Viggle, check them out. Content is for informational or entertainment purposes only and does not substitute for personal counsel or professional advice in business, financial, legal, or technical matters. Great way to earn money! Although I won't be using this as I don't watch tv much it's very useful! Thanks for introducing Viggle to me, and I'm glad that it's also available on Android.

Up and useful. Well, it still is useful when you are casually watching TV. Only takes a second then eventually you can still get rewards. So I still use it for either Redbox or Starbucks. Yeah it is really high but when you get there it does save you some money. I watch only show that are on my DVR and Viggle works fine. The only problem I have with it is that some shows take repeated checking in for Viggle to ID them.

It works sort of like Shazam does for music and TV on iOS : the app listens to the TV and then compares character voices or other sounds within their database to get the show's name. After checking in, you'll be rewarded with points. The point values differ from show to show, with featured shows granting more.

So what can you do with these points? To get started using the app, you'll need to grab a beta copy from the Web site. After that, sign up for an account within the app. Next you'll need enter your zip code and select your cable provider. This is likely necessary so Viggle will know which shows are available in your area and which shows to compare audio against when checking in.

When you're watching a show and ready to check in, simply tap the Check In tab and then touch the large Viggle logo. Once the show is identified, its information page and point value will pop up for you to see.
