She is on phenobarbital and has break through siezures approximately once every couple of months. Generally the siezures are about and then she recovers. Last week she had about 14 in a time frame of 3 hours. Horrible experience for her and my husband and I.
We are seniors on a limited income and do take her to a discount vet for blood work and prescription etc. But my husband says we just cannot afford to have this sick of an animal. I have questions about the life span of dogs with siezure issues and when to know when enough is enough. I know that having cared for her during this time was extremely stressful for him and me too, she is really my dog and we are very bonded and he has mentioned her quality of life.

Ophthalmic problems can worsen quickly, so if your pet is having eye issues it is best to see your veterinarian right away rather than trying to treat the problem at home. What would be considered a large hole my dog has one that is about in case of an inch wide and long but it is a puncture wound from an animal.
